Legislative action in the United States Congress

Ethiopia Peace and Stabilization Act of 2022

The Ethiopia Peace and Stabilization Act of 2022 would impose sanctions and expand U.S. efforts (financial, technical, and diplomatic) to bring an end to the conflict in Northern Ethiopia. The Act (S.3199 and H.R 6600) has made very little progress since its introduction in the House in February 2022.

Help move it to a final vote.

  • Find your elected federal officials here.
  • Call or send an email urging your elected officials to support the Peace and Stabilization Act and any additional legislation to end the Tigray genocide. Hearing from constituents is an important way that legislators make decisions about a specific issue. The more people they hear from on an issue, the more priority that topic gets.

Raise awareness about the genocide

The conflict in Tigray has been ongoing since November 2020, yet the international attention to the issue remains limited. Perpetrators count on ‘genocide fatigue’ to carry out their actions with impunity. We must raise awareness about the Tigray genocide to put an end to the hostilities.
