July 16: Genocide in Tibet – Searching for Justice
This course examines genocidal strategies that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses to subjugate the Tibetan people to, including torture, forced organ harvesting, detention, separation of children, and other crimes. Legal efforts to end impunity have been unsuccessful due to China’s hegemonic position at the UN and through many states’ indebtedness to China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The webinar concludes with Congressional efforts to address the CCP’s acts of transnational repression against Tibetans who have fled to the US or other places for safe haven and the role of the FBI in prosecuting this felony crime.
