Journalist Protection Act (HR 4857, S 2528)
The Journalist Protection Act will establish new criminal offenses for “intentional acts (or attempts to commit acts) that cause bodily injury to a journalist.” Since its introduction more than a year ago in the Senate and the House, the bills have made no progress.
Help move them to a final vote:
- Find your elected federal officials here.
- Call or send an email urging your elected officials to support the Journalist Protection Act and any additional legislation to protect journalists. Hearing from constituents is an important way that legislators make decisions about a specific issue. The more people they hear from on an issue, the more priority that topic gets.
