Events and Advocacy Intern, Summer 2025 

World Without Genocide is seeking an Events and Advocacy Intern during summer 2025.  

We rely on internships and fellowships for undergraduates, graduate students, and law students to increase our organizational capacity and to develop the next generation of human rights leaders.  

  • 10-15 hours per week 
  • Unpaid; can arrange course credit in relevant disciplines. Students at the University of Minnesota may qualify for CLA funding. 
  • Must be located in the Twin Cities and be available for hybrid work. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide event support  
  • Conduct research as needed 
  • Provide support for legislative initiatives at city and state levels 
  • Generate and edit website content using WordPress and EditorX 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • B.A. (or currently pursuing) in any relevant field including history, political science, global studies, etc. 
  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals and organizations 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs 
  • Effective time management and organization skills 
  • Clear and professional written and spoken communication skills 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well independently 
  • Commitment to human rights 

  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience providing administrative support in an online office setting 
  • Background in Holocaust and genocide history 
  • Experience in a legislative setting (city, state, or national level) 
  • Knowledge of Canva, WordPress, EditorX and/or video software
