In an effort to remember the 1.5 million children perished in the Holocaust, the Houston Holocaust Museum is collecting 1.5 million handmade butterflies. The butterflies will eventually be made into an exhibition, scheduled to be completed in Spring 2013. The Museum has already collected 400,000 butterflies.
World Without Genocide incorporates the Museum’s “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” activity into our genocide awareness presentations in schools.
For more information about the project and instructions on how to facilitate the butterfly activity, please visit the Houston Holocaust Museum website.
