Act Now!

1-800-GENOCIDE

The Genocide Intervention Network has created the first-ever anti-genocide hotline that connects constituents directly with their elected officials for free. You don’t need to know your officials’ names, numbers, or even what to say. The emergency number does the work!

  • Dial 1-800-GENOCIDE.
  • Enter your zip code.
  • You’ll be asked whether you want to talk to your, senator (1), representative (2), or the White House (3).
  • The hotline gives ‘talking points’ related to current legislation and GI-Net campaigns.
  • When you’re connected, just give your name and address and ask your official to take action that you heard about in the ‘talking points.’
  • Make the call today!

Want to know more about the reasons behind the hotline?

6 things you can do today to end genocide:

1. Educate yourself. Visit our Current Conflicts and Past Genocide pages, or come to our next event.

2. Tell 3 friends what you learned about genocide.

3. Call 1-800-GENOCIDE.

4. Write a letter to your elected officials.

5. Plan a film showing about genocide for friends, family, church, neighborhood, school, or other community organizations. If you already know of an upcoming event, ask to volunteer with it.

6. Donate. There are a number of organizations doing great work to end genocide. Consider donating to The American Refugee Committee, Stop Genocide Now, or World Without Genocide.

World Without Genocide is a member of the International Campaign to End Genocide. Check out the campaign at the link below:
